PETE TOMLINSON
Pete grew up in the small coastal town of Elliston on the west coast of south Australia. He spent his youth in and around the ocean surfing/fishing and hanging at the beach with friends and family.

After completing school Pete decided to travel to NW west oz and spent a winter camping in a two man tent at the bluff.  Surfing the bluff and Gnarloo and roughing it with all the characters that the desert attracts. This had a great impact on his personality and he was also able to hone his back hand barrel riding technique in the long lefts.  He then travelled from west to east and lived in Ballina surfing from the Goldie to Angourie loving the lushness, warm water & parties.

In early 2009 he did a trip to Tahiti with his fiancé to meet the Billabong team, surf in the Von Zipper trails at teahupoo, and holiday. He made it through one heat in the trails but was knocked out in the next, he then hopped island to Moorea and scored a rare right, surfing with and meeting Kelly Slater, his all time hero, which was one of the high lights of the trip. After spending two weeks in Moorea, they hopped through Europe spending time in Ireland, Portugal and England surfing and catching up with friends and relatives. After this on to Bali, Pete doing a land trip with some mates through Lombok and Sumbawa scoring some good waves.

At the present Pete is living in his new house with fiancé Saraid in Port Lincoln, working with disadvantaged youth & teaching aquatics half the week and spending the other half up the coast surfing around his home town. Pete also plays music in a band with childhood mates from Elliston, their music style ranges from mellow acoustic/reggae to soft rock.  They spend summer doing gigs at pubs and mates houses and as Pete says “it’s a great scene to be involved in, we have a lot of fun!” Pete Hooks up with both local and travelling photographers to get Photo’s and footage and is stoked to see some of the local grommets being recognised for their talents and making some waves in the industry.
