BRENT SAVAGE
Stance: Natural
Achievements: 1st U/18 NSW Far North Coast Titles, 2007. 2nd Rusty Gromfest, 2006. 1st U/16 NSW Far North Coast Titles, 2005. 5th U/16 Australian Titles, 2005.

Although he’s the son of South African parents, Brent grew up in California. Brent’s dad Mike, a talented surfer in his own right, first pushed Brent into little Salt Creek rollers at the age of six. Not long after he turned eleven, the family migrated to the beach breaks of Cabarita on the Tweed Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Despite his scary name Brent is a well spoken and respectful guy on land, saving all of his Savagery for the waves, where he unleashes a mix of power, smooth barrel riding and new school moves. He first went to Hawaii in 2006 with the Billabong Junior team where, as well as getting stuck into Log Cabins and Off The Wall, he took motivation from junior team mate and lunatic charger Laurie Towner. Brent says his favourite surfer of all time is Andy Irons, though he wouldn’t mind surfing with the speed of Taj and a hint of Parko’s style. If Brent is able to incorporate that crazy combo into his development then his goal of making the World Tour is a real possibility.
